The upstream process refers to smelting, casting, hot rolling, cold rolling, etc., which are the same as other high-precision strips. The downstream process refers to heat treatment, surface treatment, stretch-bending straightening, lubricant coating, vertical and horizontal shearing, precision cutting and deep processing, etc. The downstream process is much more complicated than other high-precision strips and there are many more processes. It can be simply expressed as: uncoiling-heat treatment, air cushion furnace (fuel, electric or electromagnetic induction heating) solution treatment (temperature 500~600℃) or annealing, water quenching/air quenching-surface treatment (cleaning and conversion treatment)-drawing Bent sedan-coating and lubricating-coiling etc.

Heat treatment, conversion treatment and lubricant application are key processes, and the production capacity of ABS strips is determined by the throughput of these processes. In addition to the solution and annealing functions, the heat treatment process should also have the function of producing T4P (pre-ageing) coils, which is a unique state for the production of heat-treatable and strengthened ABS strips. The conversion treatment is the chemical oxidation treatment in the fluoro-zirconium/titanic acid mixture to form a passivation film on the aluminum surface. The base chemical elements are titanium, zirconium, aluminum, oxygen, and fluorine, and the film quality is 1~4mg/ dm2, density 2.8g/cm3, thinner than anodic oxide film, but much thicker than natural oxide film, colorless or slightly blue, is a good base layer for adsorption and lubrication, and has good corrosion resistance. Ground protection ABS strips are not corroded within the shelf life (6 months); the lubricant can be dry or wet. It can be sprayed or rolled, and then dried or cured. The lubricant film can be used for sheet metal parts. The system provides good lubrication conditions and facilitates forming.

The downstream processing technology of ABS strip can be built into a fully continuous production line, or two or three independent production lines, the center line can be in a plane, or it can be built into an elevated type that is double-layered. The maximum speed of the full continuous production line should not exceed 150m/min, and the production capacity is about 120kt/a.
