The difference between acrylic sheet and glass for display stand

Jul 11, 2021

In the past ten years or so, acrylic and glass have been used more and more widely, such as making handicrafts or building materials. Acrylic, as a display material, is resistant to falling and not fragile compared to glass, so it can be used more in indoor places, such as digital, jewelry, glasses, watches and so on.

In addition, a large amount of acrylic material is used in the display rack. The transparency and ease of processing of acrylic are of great help to the popularization of this material, and it will not easily damage the acrylic display stand if it is bumped in the store. Our factory designs and produces various brands of acrylic display stands, which are usually private high-end customization.

The glass material is very fragile, but its light transmission and aesthetics are slightly better than acrylic. Therefore, we can see that many high-rise buildings and some decorative materials are usually decorated with household crafts made of stained glass and tempered glass, which are mainly windproof and light-transmitting. And in daily life, the use of glass is wider than that of acrylic, including furniture and decorations.

Acrylic = glass? All of the above can show that acrylic is different from glass. We cannot confuse acrylic and glass in terms of materials, characteristics, and functions. Acrylic is similar to plexiglass. It is essentially plastic, not glass, and needs to be treated differently.
