There are 4 types of UV Filtering Acrylic Sheets, which are UV Transmitting Sheet, UV Filtering (OP-2) Sheet, UV Filtering (OP-3) Sheet and UV Filtering with Non-Glare (OP-3 P-99) Sheet. In order to help you better make your purchasing decision, here’s more information about those sheets.

● UV Transmitting Sheet:

This type of sheet is commonly used for situations which requires UV-A (long wavelength low frequency, 320-400nm) and UV-B (short wavelength high frequency, 280-320nm) light. Use this type of UV Filtering Acrylic Sheet in places where doesn’t need to block UV-A and UV-B light such as suntanning equipment, certain medical room, greenhouse, etc. Due to its high impact resistance, it can serve under long term exposure to UV rays for as long as possible.

● UV Filtering (OP-2) Sheet:

This type of sheet can filter 98% of harmful ultraviolet light, commonly used in museums, galleries, display rooms where the items need perfect protection from light, dirt or water. This sheet can also be covered with resistant coating, which will offer the sheet more chemical resistant from constantly cleaning. You can choose between one side or two side coating.

● UV Filtering (OP-3) Sheet:

The difference between OP-2 and OP-3 isn’t that much, OP-3 offers a slightly reduced level of UV protection than OP-2, so it’s a more economical choice for daily use.

● UV filtering with Non-Glare (OP-3 P-99) Sheet:

This type of sheet combines non-glare and UV filtering features, offers 92% light transmission, greatly reduce glare/reflection, they are commonly used in picture frame where you can safely store and display artworks, pictures and documents.
